RIYADH — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held on Wednesday a phone call with Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares. During the call, Prince Faisal extended Saudi Arabia's condolences to the government and people of Spain and to the families of the victims of the high-speed train collision in Toledo province. He expressed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with Spain. The minister wished the injured a speedy recovery. At least 68 people died and more than 100 were injured when a Spanish high-speed express slammed into a stationary train on Wednesday, with rescuers scouring mangled carriages for more bodies after Spain's second fatal rail crash this year and Europe's deadliest since 2013.
