Attorney General, commerce minister discuss combating commercial violations

RIYADH — Attorney General Dr. Khalid Al-Yousef received Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi in Riyadh on Monday to discuss strengthening cooperation in combating commercial violations and protecting the national economy.During the meeting, Al-Yousef, who also chairs the Public Prosecution Council, and Al-Qasabi reviewed ways to enhance coordination, improve working mechanisms and strengthen cooperation between their respective authorities.The discussions focused on upholding the rule of law, protecting the national economy and combating unlawful commercial practices.The meeting also highlighted the importance of greater integration among government agencies and the exchange of expertise in areas of mutual interest.Both sides emphasized the need to improve the effectiveness of procedures, safeguard economic rights and interests, and promote a business environment built on integrity, transparency and compliance with regulations.
