Saudi, US foreign ministers discuss Iran, Sudan and Yemen on sidelines of G20 meeting

ATLANTA — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Atlanta, United States.The meeting focused on the strategic relationship between Saudi Arabia and the United States and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in priority areas.The two ministers also exchanged views on current regional developments and ongoing efforts to address challenges facing the Middle East.Rubio highlighted discussions on Iran, Sudan and Yemen as key areas of cooperation between Riyadh and Washington."It was great to meet with Saudi Foreign Minister @FaisalbinFarhan in Atlanta," Rubio said in a statement."We discussed ways our countries can continue working together on regional challenges, including the situations in Iran, Sudan, and Yemen," he added.
