Commerce Ministry warns businesses of license cancellation after 90 days
RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has urged commercial establishments to obtain the necessary licenses to practice their registered activities within 90 days of registration in the Commercial Register. The ministry called on business owners to comply with the Commercial Register Law and its Implementing Regulations by obtaining the required licenses for activities subject to licensing within the specified period. It warned that failure to obtain the necessary licenses within 90 days would result in the cancellation of the activity’s registration in the Commercial Register, in accordance with Article 4 of the Implementing Regulations. The article requires traders to obtain a license within 90 days of registering an activity that requires licensing. It also stipulates that an activity’s registration will be canceled if the deadline passes without the required license being issued, or if the trader fails to provide proof of practicing an activity that does not require a license.
